HEAD CHAIR
Christine Chin |
from the head chairHello fellow delegates,
I’m Christine, I’m currently attending my senior year at ISPP. It is an honour to take on the role as Head Chair for ESCAP. This would be my 4th year of chairing but sadly also my last year. I have been involved in MUN since 9th grade and enjoyed it ever since, I’m sure you will too! In my free time when I’m not being overwhelmed by the deadly assessments of IB, I enjoy looking at memes, binge watching medical shows, watching football matches with my dad and taking too many naps (oops). On a serious note, ESCAP is a new committee to ISPPMUN as it was just implemented this year. In the world today, the issues of political corruption and child trafficking is rampant and left unresolved in the hands of the future generation. I believe that with our motto “giving youth a voice”, it would serve as a powerful stimulus to contribute to our foundation of being a socially conscious generation. I can empathize with the nerve wrecking anxiety of the new delegates and anticipation of returning delegates therefore do not hesitate to approach me! See you all very soon. Kind Regards, Christine |
DEPUTY CHAIR
Sareth Moy |
from the deputy chairHi everyone reading this!
My name is Sareth Moy, a senior from Jay Pritzker Academy in Siem Reap. I’ll be serving as Deputy Chair in ESCAP, the new committee. This is my first time chairing and probably my last. MUN has always been a big part of my high school life. Just like 75% of people around the world, public speaking has not always been my friend. MUN helps me realize that it’s alright to get out of my comfort zone. For those who are attending MUN for the first time, please relax. ESCAP will be a very interesting committee and I am looking forward to hearing everyone’s brilliant ideas. Don’t worry; the chairs are very nice and friendly people and are always available to share words of wisdom and, of course, help out anytime. That being said, chair recommends that you start on your research (if you haven’t already). It is important that you have a very thorough understanding of each topic with regards to your country. I am super excited in meeting all of you at the conference. Let’s all learn from one another and help each other all the way through. Most importantly, I hope we will have a lot of fun together. All the best, Sareth |
