HEAD CHAIR
Sara Khemani |
from the head chairDear Delegates, Secretariat Members, and Teachers,
My name is Sara Khemani, and I am currently a sophomore (grade 10) at Singapore American School. I am delighted to be serving you as Head Chair for the Environment Council at ISPPMUN this year. Some of my other interests include badminton, tennis, and anything in the outdoors from hiking to rafting. I also absolutely love dogs and coffee. ISPPMUN19 will be my 10th conference, my second time chairing, and will also be my fifth time in the environment committee since I first started MUN three years ago when I was in 8th grade. It is my utmost pleasure to work alongside Manith to chair a committee that to me, presents some of the most pressing issues we face globally today and is a foundation for our everyday life. With the three topics in EC this year, you will have the opportunity to tackle environmental issues pertinent to several regions across the world. MUN has given me the opportunity to understand a range of issues in a range of different committees with nuanced perspectives and has also given me a drive and the invigoration to make a positive difference, but most unfeigned, also allowed me to develop positive relationships with a variety of different people. I look forward to meeting all of you and having an insightful and benevolent conference and most importantly, a fulfilling and memorable 3 days. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you need help of any kind! We can’t wait to see you and get to know all of you, Sara. |
DEPUTY CHAIR
Manith Tong |
from the deputy chairHello everyone!
My name is Tong Serey Bunmanith but just call me Manith. I go to the French school of Phnom Penh (LFRD) as a senior! I’m so happy and honored to be serving as Deputy Chair in the Environmental Committee (a committee that I hold near and dear to my heart). There are more things that I like such as BTS (the kpop boy band), Harry Potter, bullet journaling and bubble tea...and coffee too! ISPPMUN 2017 was my first conference and (maybe) ISPPMUN 2019 will be my last. If you are nervous and feel overwhelmed, just know that we are on the same boat (turn your nerves into excitement...it helps, trust me!). If you have any questions or clarifications, please do not hesitate to email me ([email protected]) or the head chair. I hope to make the best out of conference and I hope that you will do so too. I can’t wait to meet all of you! |
